BAKER / WOHL ARCHITECTS provided architectural services for Newmarket Station along the MBTA's Fairmount Corridor. The station is located at the crossroads of Newmarket Square and Massachusetts Avenue. New station design utilizes language that harmonizes modern looks with durability and ease of maintenance that have become distinguishing characteristics of the Fairmont commuter line. The new station features accessible waiting areas and platform canopies, good lighting, clear signage, and attractive landscaping.
