BAKER / WOHL ARCHITECTS provided the architectural services for significant reconstruction of Uphams Corner Commuter Rail Station. The new station features accessible waiting areas and platform canopies. Design consideration was given to durability and ease of maintenance for such things as snow removal, gutter cleaning, storage of maintenance equipment and salting supplies, bird deterrence, light bulb and fixture standardization, and railing design which minimized on-site welding and field painting.
